Mar 18, 2007 - Tilba, New South Wales, Australia

Australia, like New Zealand, has several places that must be very important, because they're named twice. Matamata, Paki Paki, Wagga Wagga, and Lang Lang. Tilba Tilba, however, doesn't fit this category and must defer to its larger neighbor, Tilba. This single-street town oozes charm with restored clap-board buildings offering hand-crafted items, freshly-brewed coffee, world-class pastries & breads, locally-made cheese, Tilba Valley wines, and hand-made "lollies" (candy). There is even a general store, complete with kerosene lamps and tin...

Mar 15, 2006 - Beatiful Narooma with the Thunderstorm

Written by Renee Today we woke up at 9:00 and with the Moores we headed to the other cottages in a beautiful place called Narooma. On the way, we stopped at the town of Mogo and went on a tour about the gold mining in the old Mogo town. It was neat. I learnt so much stuff on gold mining. We also got to pan for gold. It was lots of fun. I got few real gold pieces. Then we stopped for lunch at a beach. Then we finally got to the cabins and went on a jumping pillow ( like a trampoline). Then we went swimming. That night there was a huge...

ARE WE THERE YET?

Dec 5, 2005 - Roadtrip, Bairnsdale & Lakes Entrance to Sydney Dec 5th & 6th

After leaving the Prom on Sunday afternoon Paul drove us to Bairnsdale along the gorgeous coastline for our 1st nights accomodation. After a tearful goodbye to our buddies we set out for Sale passing Lake Wellington and Paradise Beach along the way. Inspite of having our air bed and the monster truck we were forced to splash out on a comfort inn for the night and use the Visa, especialy as Lou's leg still looked like she had leporacy at this stage and doctors orders were don't put pressure on it and if it gets worst go to a hospital, as...

Dec 2, 2005 - NSW: Perfect camp at Picnic Point, Mimosa Rocks National Park

The weather is holding - overcast but ok - so we decide to keep heading down the coast and camp at one of the National Parks that dot the coastline. We drive through beautiful towns like Bermagui, before ending up at Mimosa Rocks National Park. There are a couple of different campsites that are quite a distance apart and of course we have to check them all out before we're content. Luckily the last one we look at is just perfect - we get a campsite right by the beach with a five star view. Unluckily, the rain sets in soon after we set up -...

Nixes On Tour

Nov 5, 2005 - Our trip to Montague Island

So when we were down on the coast, we decided to take a boat tour to an island named Montague island. The island is a home to seals and penguins and many many different"beautiful" types of birds(sh** hawks!!) There's a small lighthouse there along with many small houses that house the people who keep the island in good condition. Overall, it was an awesome experience, just to see all the different types of animals in their natural habitat.
