Agur Península Valdés!

¡Hola!

The bus ride to Puerto Madryn (the closest city to Península Valdés) was going to take 18 hours, but the wind grew strong and ended up breaking the bus' windscreen and we ended up spending the night in Las Grutas. To our surprise, it was a very nice town, a bit like being on a Greek island all of a sudden. Bizarre!

Península Valdés was our first stop in Patagonia. We spent a whole day visiting all the different animals of the area. We were amazed by the size and the laziness of the Sea Elephants, we were shocked by the hunting ability of the Orcas (more commonly known as Killer Whales), we were entertained by the funniest of them all: the Magallanes Penguin, we were mesmerised by the grandiosity of the Southern Right Whale and, above all, we were happy to spend our two-month marriage anniversary surrounded by these wonderful animal who were very similar in many ways to the ones that witnessed our wedding.

Let's see where life takes us now!

Loads of love,

Idoia & Mikel.
