Set off at 8.00 a.m. to explore Nelson and Abel Tasman National Park. Went to a market in Nelson "huge", we were told. No comment!! but it was very pleasant if a bit arty-farty. Jaz was interested to see Nelson, as she knew people in Gocek (hi Dean, Merrin and Tim) who originally hail from the city.

We then drove up the coast to Abel Tasman. This website is going to get boring as everywhere in this country is stunning - just point a camera anywhere and you have a view. Abel Tasman coastline is to die for, and ferociously protected - you don't see any litter there. We tramped (walked) for a couple of hours along the Abel Tasman walk, enjoying the breathtaking scenery before our return journey. We returned to Blenheim by a different route through even more breathtaking scenery in the Kahurangi National Park, taking in Lake Rotoiti en-route. The drive took about four hours and we were suitably shattered by the time we hit Green Gables.
