Santiago - half way through the trip time-wise, but having only covered 9000Km - just another 15,000Km to go over the second half, but at least the roads are quicker now. And we loose 9 members of the truck, to gain another 5. So time for a bit of a party!! Brilliant to get to a more westernized city with all we could want. A Chinese meal followed by drinks in a trendy bar which opened up onto the street (my favourite). However, a gin and tonic with 50-50 gin-tonic did finish Janine and I off so we didn't manage to stay awake to see Bel and Joel off, though we were woken to say our "good-byes"!
Not so much to see of interest in Santiago, but a lovely city to sit in a cafe and watch the world go by, so we did...and it was very hot! A bit of culture was had though in the form of a Chilian photographic exhibition in the square.
