Short entry, but a quick update. We've spent the past week with Z's parents traveling around South Africa. We got lucky on the first day they were here and made it up to Table Mountain, for a view of the town and coast. Then, unfortunately the weather turned and has been a little cloudy, a little windy, a little rainy and a little sunny, litterally every 5 minutes it's like a different weather pattern.

I like to refer to this past week as our "holiday from our traveling" because we've been staying in some beautiful B&B's with luxurious beds, sheets, towels, hot water and big breakfasts - I could live like this for the rest of my life! We've also stopped twice in Franshoek for the food- some of the best meals we've ever eaten. Sorry to all of the vegetarians out there, but we've done a good job of eating a large assortment of the animals that we've seen in Upper Africa - crocodile, warthog, ostrich, springbok - yummy!

We drove out to the Cape of Good Hope and down to Hermanso (sp?) where we only had to look out our window to see whales swim by along the coast. The come so close to the rocks! And some even jumped out of the water - incredible for the size of them.

Tomorrow we go back on the road, we have a 12 & 1/2 hour flight to Hong Kong, we leave from Jo'burg at 1:00 p.m. and arrive in Hong Kong the next day at 7 a.m. - UGH!

WE'll post photos from HK.

Take care!
