KAPOORS ON THE ROAD

Over the course of the four full days that we were in Sarajevo we managed to walk many of the central streets on either side of the Miljacka River. By taking different routes in and out of the core, we were able to get more of a sense of what it’s like away from the touristy parts. It’s a course we usually take, especially when visiting capital cities.

We’re always curious to see the residential neighbourhoods in order to get a sense of what it might be like to actually live in a city we are visiting. With the advent of service apartments through AirBnB, we are also able to buy our own groceries like the locals and prepare a few meals instead of always eating in restaurants. Again, it feels more like being a traveller than being a vacationer. We have the time to slow down, soak in the atmosphere and enjoy the little discoveries we make while taking long, long walks.
