our Uncle Sam tour Boat

our Uncle Sam tour Boat

Sep 11 Temps low of 49 high of 79

The morning started out raining but by 11:00 it was starting to clear up so we decided to drive over to Alexandria Bay and take an Uncle Sam boat cruise. We chose the 3 hour two castle cruise.

The first stop was Singer Castle. The Castle was built in 1905 by Frederick Bourne he is the founder of the Singer sewing machine company. The machines sold for $40, more money than most folks could afford, so he came up with the idea of renting them for $1 per month.

Next was a return trip up stream to the Boldt Castle, but by the time we got there it was getting a little late so we decided to do the Boldt castle the next day since it is a self-guided tour and we wanted to take our time and be sure to see everything.
