Selfie I took without Jim knowing since he doesn't like his picture...

Pretty buildings

Samuel de Champlain

June 24, Monday

Wow!  What an awesome day.  The weather was sunny and warm (probably about 75, but felt warm when in the sun), with a slight breeze.  We took a shuttle (nice air conditioner double decker bus) from the campground to catch the Hop on Hop Off  bus in Quebec City. It stopped a few places along the way to pick up other people. The narrated hop on hop off bus tour was fabulous.  There were 14 stops and it took about 2 hours. The architecture is so beautiful. It was a mix of old and new, with some beautiful old buildings.  We didn't get off, but rather stayed on to enjoy the tour. Then we walked around old Quebec and had lunch at a bistro. Jim had a burger, we shared onion rings, and I had a choco-fruit crepe, with chocolate of course, and bananas, strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries.  It was good, but there was too much melted chocolate on it (and I like chocolate, but even way too much for me). We did a little souvenir shopping and I found the nicest pair of leather moccasins slippers. We walked around the Place d'Armes. The views of the St. Lawrence and surrounding area were awesome.  We walked up and back down the 194 stairs toward the fort and Citadel. The views were even better from there. We caught the bus back to the campground and sat in the front on the upper level for some great views. I enjoyed the hot tub on returning to the campground. There are still a lot of campers, but it really emptied out today.  Tomorrow, we head home..
