We arrived in Budapest in the morning, so we didn't see the lights that we were told were spectacular. By 9:30, we departed for a city tour. The Pest side is busy with lots of historic buildings. The Buda side is quieter with hills and residential areas. Guess which side I liked!

In the afternoon, we were free to roam but I stayed on the boat and talked to a couple I had met earlier on the trip. I wanted to walk to the shoe memorial, but I was afraid it was too far away and everyone else wanted to go to the market instead.

In the evening, we were treated to an Operetta put on by local singers/dancers. That was enjoyable and a good way to end our trip.
