Blisworth Tunnel

We made our way to the bottom of the 7 locks that go up to Stoke Bruerne, a five mile trip meeting quite a few boats coming towards us along the way, and a rather rude, nasty moored up narrow boat owner who decided to complain about wide beam boats on his canal!!!! Then walked up to the top as Tony wanted to measure the concrete ring that was put into the centre of the tunnel to repair it,just to be sure we wouldn't fit. According to his calculations we would have 100ml on each side of the boat to manouvre in - so he's happy in the knowledge that it's not going to happen!!!

There were quite a few boats coming through and the fellow on this one was telling me the water was pouring down insided the tunnel not just dripping.

We have now turned the boat around after filling up with water and will head off back down the way we have come tomorrow.
