|Worshipped at Marion’s Church - King’s Community Church. The welcoming committee was easily visible in their blue T-shirt’s. There were about 900 attending that day - there are usually more, but there was a Southampton marathon, and many were absent attending it, to raise money for Christians Against Poverty - a Christian charitable company formed in the U.K. to help those struggling with debt. Her Church has just completed a massive redevelopment and now has a new Church plant about 15 minutes away.
We all pitched in at Marion’s to prepare a delicious roast lamb lunch, and dessert of plum (freshly picked) crumble. Again much laughter around the table with an extra guest from France.
After a cup of tea, we relaxed in the sitting room - all a little weary. About 6 pm when OUR thoughts were turning to tea time and an early night, it was suggested that we take the dogs out to the New Forest - half an hour drive away and go for a walk along the river and heavy woodland area. OK, did they realise it was now 6 pm, however the sun was still shining quite high, so must make the most of the sunny day. We all rugged up against the wind, and headed off.
So much fun there, and Nadine had taken her “wellies” and like 2 kids, she and Chris had so much fun on the rope swing across the creek. Heather was sooooo upset that her husband would not allow her to try it also, but she is slowly learning to be realistic???
Returned for a cup of tea before a (very) late dinner, and then another cup of tea before bed time.
