Some of the "howling" crowd

The moon arrives! The people "howl" and depart. With t-shirts, of course!

The patio painting continues....

They have this festival here called "Howling at the Moon". It happens every time there is a full Moon in the fall and winter. They have it in the east side of the Foothills near the BLM land. So we decided to finally go and check it out, since it shouldn't be very crowded this time of year. Butch and Julie were game to go too, so we threw our lawn chairs in the back of the truck and hit the road. It starts at 3:00 pm, and there is a live band, dance floor, food trucks, and its kind of an "outdoor rock concert vibe". People come with coolers, tables, barbeques, tents, and chairs. And Oh yes, there seemed to be lots of alcoholic beverages being consumed. We were a bit out of place with our water bottles. But this is definitely aimed at the older crowd. As soon as the moon comes up, the band stops, everyone howls, and then they all go home. Home by 8 pm!!

Around the neighborhood, Spike has finally got a coat of paint on all the patios. The weather is warming up here, it was 88 on Tuesday!

We are starting to pack up and clean up for our own trip home. We plan to leave on April 1. And now, of course, the garden is just starting to come on. We have fresh tomatoes and some squash. Maybe our neighbors can enjoy them in our absence!
