Otago Rail Trail

Three nights with Sandra and Stu, Sophie and Logan. Scott (nephew) and Maree and their three children came over for dinner, with Carol and David, who had just arrived at their place for a couple of nights. Good to catch up with family.

Maree and two of the children, Tyler and Katelyn, returned the next day for a birthday lunch for Logan, who will be two this week.

Got pretty cold the second day we were there and Stu lit the fires in the lounge and kitchen :)! Sophie and Logan kept us busy with games, stories, walks.......

Sophie came with us when we departed and spent the night with us at Tapanui. Lovely to have her company. Ken played a few holes of golf as we were parked beside the golf course and Sophie and I wandered into the village for a look around. Not much in Tapanui, though. Locals very nice. Sandra picked her up in the morning and they headed off to a birthday party.

Now in Alexandra, in a large, free parking area provided for NZMCA members. Parks of various types all around us. Biked some of the Otago Rail Trail yesterday - was hot and sunny, about 25 deg. Nice to feel the warmth again. Met an ERO colleague when we stopped for a snack - that small world again! Biking to Clyde today and then heading to Arrowtown tomorrow so Ken and Andrew can use one of the golfing vouchers at Millbrook on Wednesday.
