We joined Huck’s walk this morning, since we didn’t have to work – what fun. There was a large group of beginners along and Huck shared lots of information and had lots of fun – he’s been leading a lot longer than we have, and it was good to see his style. We completed the lakes loop, then, after a short rest, walked the tropical loop, and were done around 1. The flowers are spectacular, especially when the sun finally came out! We stopped at McD’s for lunch.

The rest of the afternoon was spent reading and studying the natural history of Santa Ana, as well as some of the human history – what an amazing place. Happy hour happened at our patio again, then we changed clothes and enjoyed dinner out with Randy and Fran at El Dorado in Alamo – Fran and I split a delicious Fajita. A stop at DQ to celebrate our hard-won life bird was a great way to cap the day!
