Since we've been to Aruba a couple of times before, we decided to just get off the ship and walk around town, do a little shopping, maybe have lunch and make it an easy day.
Oranjestad has lots of shopping and dining establishments and there is even a nice beach within walking distance. I wanted to get some of the famous Aloe, great for burns and skin irritations. It was nice to just walk around and we had a local snack called pan bati (a pancake-like bread) and enjoyed our time ashore.
Back onboard ship, we decided to go to the seafood restaurant (Steamers). Joe loves anything steamed, and I'm able to get a fried fish platter, which is excellent. This was a nice change from the ship's dining room fare.
We weren't interested in the show, so just had a couple of drinks and did some people watching. Next two days at sea as we head back to Ft. Lauderdale.
