When you look at our map you can see the spots we stayed; we drove along the Croatian coast after we made our way back from Zagreb. Once we reached the coast, we stayed two nights in Opatija, a resort town on the Adriatic. We did not spend much time there, but used it as our overnight when we visited the Istrian peninsula hill town of Motovun (see next entry). Opatija is charming with lots of gardens and villas.
