Day two in Sydney we boarded hop on hop off bus to ride around the city. Not a do-over. In fact we got off early and rode the ferry home. Too hectic and difficult to really see anything. We realized we do best on our own using public transportation. The one good thing was it took us to the world famous Bondi Beach. Beautiful! Crowded though because you can ride any public transportation for $2.15 all day Sunday and you can reach it by bus. So the path to Congee was packed so we did not make the trek. We did make our way over to the Opera House and walked all around it. Interesting place. The lower level is lined with bars and each one was packed. Fun place. Had dinner at a Malaysian restaurant in Darling Harbour. Very tasty.

Monday we were up early to take a small group tour to the Blue Mountains. Our first stop was a working city farm. It was similar but larger than Frying Pan Park. It is situated smack in the middle of a residential community.

We got to pet a koala. So soft and cuddly. Also fed some wallabies and kangaroos. Their peacock was strutting around fully open. The views were spectacular as we climbed into the mountains which apparently are really a plateau. Our final stop was a botanic garden in full bloom since it is spring here.
