|A walk into the village of Cromwell saw us looking around the Church
As we were walking out of the gate there was a lady just about to get into her car - she asked us if we had enjoyed looking around and if we would like to look inside the Church as she had a key.
So, of course we said yes. She is very involved in everything happening in the Church and knew a lot of the history. So we were talking for some time.
The first Rector of the Church was recorded in 1276.
We stayed 2 nights at Cromwell Lock as the wind has been very strong and we didn't fancy battling against it.
It was only 5 miles to Newark and we set off this morning with a much quieter wind than yesterday. So we're back where we started 11 months and 1 week ago.
The dead sheep was spotted a couple of miles into the journey.
Managed to get a mooring with power and water for a couple of days. Went off and did a big grocery shop at Asda and Morrisons as supplies were getting low.
We've also had quite a bit of rain over the last couple of days. They must have had quite a lot more in the Leeds area as the Flood Locks have been locked up due to flooding.
