Ken had his eye on Hay-on Wye, the town of books. The village is almost all bookshops and many of them are huge. All very old and you could spend hours poking around in the shelves, covering almost every topic imaginable. Wonderful to see children engrossed in books in several shops, leaving their parents in peace to browse around. Another carpark stay, £10 for the night.

Loved Stratford-upon-Avon. The river looks so nice, with boats moored and parks all around. Market to browse through and then a wander through the town. Heather walked to Anne Hathaway’s house, which was a good hour’s walk away through alleyways and across a park.
