| We had a lay day yesterday at Keadby - the wind was blowing quite strongly and pushing the small tide away. So to get a tide deep enough to travel safely with made it too late in the day to get through Cromwell Lock before dark and the Lock keeper would have gone home. We set off this morning just before 8.30am and had to battle the wind at times but 4 hours later saw us reach Cromwell Lock and in we went.
It's rather like sitting at anchor in the catamarran at the moment - quite windy and choppy, but we're tied up safely to the wall and won't be going on to Newark until tomorrow at the earliest as the lock there is out of electricity today (I suppose due to the strong wind).
Jigsaw no. 4 finished - I'll have to search for another when we get to Newark. Have thoroughly enjoyed doing them.
