Scandinavia, Estonia and Iceland 2018 travel blog

13 September

Woke about 7ish and laid in bed for an hour. We had our breakfast, packed up, took some photos of the “hotel” and left about 1000ish.

Walked to the train station (maybe ½ mile) and got a cache. Sat in the station for awhile, took photos of the station and about 1130 bought our tickets to the airport.

Left the airport about 1145ish and to the airport about 1220ish.

Found the Icelandic ticket counter and got our bags checked in. Sat and did some internet messages, etc and then off to the gate. Joy goes in a wheelchair with an airport attendee....there are some perks to moving around in a wheelchair. Getting through security was a breeze...we went right up to a lady and showed her our passports/boarding passes and we were on to the screening area and out!

We are now on the flight to Reykavik; it’s about a 3 ½ hour flight. I’m trying to catch up on my notes about the trip on this filght. Also want to check my photos……

Landed and again there are perks to a wheelchair! The attended took us to get our bags and then we got right up to the counter at the hertz rental car. We have a cute little rental car.

Drove to Reykavick (spelling) and tried for a cache, but there was no place to park. So off to the house/hotel. Stopped at a gas station/store and got a sandwich and some yogurt.

THe house/hotel is very nice; small 2 bed room; shared kitchen and shared bath. We will be here for 2 nights. I love Iceland; like the land and the adventure.

Good night!
