Bill and Mary Ann's truck camper retirement travel blog

We cut across Minnesota past tons of lakes and trees starting to change colors. We stopped in Akwley MN to eat lunch and see the 30 ft statue of Paul Bunyon. As we we got closer to ND, we passed huge fields of big sunflowers. We drove on to Sheyene Natl Grasslands below Fargo and stopped to camp at Jorgen's Hollow cg. Wide open rolling hills and meadows with big oaks are all you can see. We're one of 2 in the CG and they're not charging any fees. We sat outside and 3 guys on an ATV circled the CG and then stopped to talk to us. They were young farmers working their grandparents land so we talked with them while we watched what the people in the van were doing. The van people were kind of suspect so the guys stayed on and we talked for another hour about everything from farming to what's in Georgia to slight politics. The van left after stopping to fill up water and fly a kite so the guys left a while. Their farm is down off to the right in case van people return! We'll coninue on to SD tomorrow.
