An early start and a wonderful 10K hike to “Bakers Brook Falls”. A beautiful warm sunny day in the bog and boriel forest. We stopped to walk through the “moose enclosure”, a fenced in 100meter by 100meter area to protect the natural foliage from moose grazing. Moose grazing has changed the character of the forest by eliminating many plant species.

The evening was spent at “Anchor Inn Pub” eating and drinking and enjoying a terrific musical show called “Anchors Aweigh”. Lots of Newfie songs and humor from the crew who, the day before, had provided the fun filled boat tour of Bonne Bay. This show provided us a dynamic demonstration of the proper way to play the “Ugly Stick”.
