Picked up from Grossus Mos at 9.30am by Bruno in his electric cart, and driven to the bus station. Very spoilt not having to walk with our bags, and much quicker!
Last ride down down down to Visp, and Don will not miss these bus rides!!! Even Trudie thought this driver was not a good one!! We swung all over the place!!
Old hands now with this journey, and all the memories from previous time here.
Changed trains at Bern, and now with different scenery to Biel. Next was the train to Ipsach and our destination for one night. It is called a train, but travels on the streets too, and could be called a "tram" by us Aussies. Only four stations from Biel to Ipsach, and very quick journey.
Susie & Marcus's apartment overlooks the station, so not far to walk, and what a lovely spot for a night. We could be very comfortable here for a lazy stay, but sadly we must move on tomorrow. The train service is excellent and one passes every 15 minutes. Was a novelty at first, but then we don't really hear them, only the boom gates going down and we think someone is ringing the doorbell!!
A relaxing afternoon on the balcony, and then a half hour walk through agricultural fields to the Lake of Biel, stroll along the lake past many families enjoying swimming, games, bike riding and some bbqs to the Cruchon Restaurant for dinner, where we meet another friend of Susie & Marcus. Lots to watch on the lake with sailing boats and paddle boarders.
A leisurely stroll back along the lane ways, a game of cards and bed!!
Will we hear the trains during the night? Certainly not, both crashed for a good sleep.
