Tues., July 24th – After today, I think it’s safe to say we’ve seen Niagara Falls from just about every vantage point possible. We spent our morning on the Canadian side where the view at the top of Horseshoe Falls is pretty remarkable. This is Carla’s favorite view of the falls. After lunch at Applebees, we crossed back to the US bidding Canada farewell for the last time on our journey. For the next couple of hours we toured Old Fort Niagara situated on Lake Ontario. This 300 year old historic site was a strategic fort during the French and Indian War, the Revolution, and the War of 1812. It was an interesting place to visit. Tomorrow we make our way to Pennsylvania….hoping we can avoid the flood waters that are being reported in Lancaster County where we’re scheduled to be for the next 3 nights.
