If your in the Fairbanks area, don't miss the Riverboat Discovery. It was a perfect day for a 3 hour cruise on the Sternwheeler, Discovery III, our cruise took us up the Chena River. We learned about the history of the cruise line, the late Susan Butcher (an Iditarod Champion) & her champion sled dogs, also we had the chance to walk around the Chena Village (an Athabascan Indian Village) for a look back in time.

We watched a bush pilot in action, taking off from from the Chena River, flying overhead & landing close to the boat, that was pretty cool.
