We're heading to Juneau today from Ketchikan on the ferry. It should be a beautiful ride. It's gorgeous and sunny. The trip is about 22 hours.

Arrived in Juneau 10 hours behind schedule due to a ferry delay. Was a beautiful ride thru the inside passage once we were underway. Got to Juneau about 4pm on the 4th of July. They do fireworks at mid nite the night before, so we missed them. Oh well, we did go on an awesome hike when we arrived at the Mendenhall Glacier. It was very cool despite it being an unusually hot (80 degree) day. Went check out downtown Juneau and eat. Very few restaurants were open despite there being three major cruise ships in port. Had a great meal at Pier 49. The salmon was out of this world good. Saw a bear on the way Home on the side of the road. It was a good day.

The next day we hiked up to the top of Mt. Roberts. It was a steep hike but very pretty. The view at the top was awesome of the town of Juneau and the cruise ships. We rode the tram down from there.

We did a fun bike ride from our RV park - just exploring the area.

Juneau is nice. A bit strict about where bikes are allowed. We rode through the university campus. It was very pretty.
