May 6, 2018 – Lima, Peru
After 2 pisco sours last night, I slept like a log. I repacked my suitcases again as the pisco which I had bought early on in the trip was here at the hotel. Roberto and Walter had brought it back when they left us at Nazca.
I went to breakfast about 8 and met up with Richard, Susan, Coleen, Gerhard, Robert and Diane. Robert and Diane will leave tomorrow to go to the Amazon for 4 days. Richard, Susan, Coleen and Gerhard are on the same flight to Houston that I am on. Since I had booked a day room for today, they left their luggage in my room since they needed to checkout before 11. Coleen had found a grocery store so Coleen, Susan and I went with here to buy some coffee to take home before they took off to go sightseeing.
Gerhard, Coleen, Rob and Diane went to the Larco Museum and really enjoyed it. Richard, Susan and I walked to the markets to have a last look at souvenir items. I found the perfect Christmas gift for Patsy. Richard found a key chain which he liked.
Gerhard, Coleen, Richard and Susan joined me in my room until it was time for me to checkout which was 6 p.m. I think we are all tired and more than ready to go home. It has been a wonderful trip, and I enjoyed every minute of it. I made some new friends and saw some beautiful and awe-inspiring sights, but I’m looking forward to getting home.
