We traveled in our cars to Hartland, NB for lunch and a talk on the history of Hartland and the longest covered bridge in the world.

After lunch, we visited the longest bridge and walked halfway across. It is the custom to drive halfway, stop and kiss your partner. We walked halfway and kissed and also drove halfway, stopped and kissed.

The bridge is a one-way drive and cars take turns driving across.

We next visited the Covered Bridge Potato Chip Factory for a tour and bag of chips. The peeled and sliced potatos are conveyed to a large vat of 305F degrees and fried for about 10 minutes while be fluffed with a fingered, rotating wheel. The fried chips are then conveyed to another vat for further frying.
