We have had a couple of days where the weather has cooperated. There were threatening clouds, but precipitation was minimal, and worth the risk. So, we decided to hike a little bit.

Yesterday, we trekked about 3 miles along the Carson River, down stream a few miles from where we hiked a few days ago. Peaceful and pleasant, the walk was mostly level with a change in elevation of only about 100 feet.

Today, we went to the other side of Carson City to an area called Kings Canyon (not the national park in California). This hike was only about 2.5 miles but we did have some elevation change. There was also a small waterfall along the trail.

Tomorrow, we plan to take a drive over to Lake Tahoe. The weather shows about a 50% change of rain, so hiking is out of the question.
