Paula Jacobs and Tamy Burns

Ken Burns and Bill Jacobs

One of the Thunderbirds

We have moved a bit further north. The RV is parked at the FamCamp on Nellis Air Force Base north of Las Vegas, Nevada. We got here yesterday and we will spend one more night here. The US Air Force Thunderbirds do a lot of practice here in the area for upcoming airshows all over the US. There was a nice flyover in a Diamond-shaped pattern with 6 jets. but, alas, I did not have the camera ready. I did catch a glimpse of one plane on my phone.

We have done the "sightseeing" thing here before, so we limited our activites to visiting some friends who used to live in Amarillo. Yesterday, we had dinner with Ken and Tamy Burns at their home (a motorhome). And today, we took them to dinner in town.

We had a great visit, spending over 8 hours in two days catching up on each others' lives.

We really miss them. They are fun to be with. Maybe they will come visit us in Mesa this coming winter.

Next stop is Tonopah, NV.
