Back to my second home in Zhaoqing. travel blog

My first meal in Australia - chicken parmigiana, chips and salad.

Welcome home sign at Craig and Crystal's house!

So, a 3.10 departure from Guangzhou's Baiyun airport, so late, and I was so very tired. Not really time to get a sleep though, as we landed in Kuala Lumpur at around 7.30, then just time to get through the airport to the next departure gate. Around an hour and a quarter, which was enough, but no time to dally!!

Off again, and I think I was dozing on and off all the way to Perth. We landed on time, and did not take too long to get to the gate this time.

I staggered through the arrivals, cleared immigration, then headed to the baggage carousel to wait for my luggage. But, it did not arrive. I had to go to a customer service desk, fill out a form, and hope that it would be arriving soon. The suitcase will be delivered to the door at Errol's house tomorrow.

By the time I got out, Errol was waiting outside on a bench. So into the car, and off we went heading for Bunbury. We stopped on the way home, to grab a coffee and some food. I had the best crunchy beer battered chips ever.

Errol told me that we had been invited to join Craig, Crystal and kids at the sports club where the little boys play Auskick football. There were two other couples there, with their kids too. We had a couple of drinks and then ordered dinner. Errol and I had chicken parmigiana, which was nice - not special, but not bad either. And not long after eating, I dropped Errol off at his place, and headed to Craig and Crystal's.

When we left the footy oval, Craig was dragging Cruz and Jack apart, after a major meltdown between two very tired boys, which had them on the ground, trying to beat the life out of each other.

By the time I got there, they were home too, and I managed to get into a lovely new bed, in a newly re-furbished spare room, for what I was hoping was going to be a very good night's sleep!!
