We had to go to Batemans Bay! However, our experience was not about Steve’s heritage but about weather. It was sunny and 40 degrees with strong winds when we arrived. But the sky was strangely grey. Why? The result of bushfires just south of us in Tathra. (See link: Visit MyTripJournal ). On the day we left, we had heavy rain. This has resulted in serious flooding just North of us in the Hunter Valley. We now realise how vulnerable Australia is to the weather and climate change.
