Good day mate!

Well we have done a lot of travelling since my last update. We were in Christchurch where we spent 2 nights. While we were there we went on an Alpine Safari which took us by 6 wheel drive up to some farm in the hills where we seen some beautiful scenery not to mention lots of sheep. After that we toured part of the Wiamak Gorge where we boarded a jet boat and headed down the Waimakariri River. There they fed us lunch and then our guide took us to Arthurs Pass where we took the TranzAlpine train back to Christchurch. The next day we travelled by bus to Queenstown. Lots more gorgeous scenery and of course more sheep. The next day we once again travelled by bus to Milford Sound which is in the World Heritage Fiordland National Park. It took 5 hours to get there but we had a good time and seen lots. The next day we had a free day which we spent doing laundry and golfing, oh I also listened to the Rider game on my phone. So the next day we left New Zealand and flew to Sydney, Australia. What a big and busy city!! They have beautiful old buildings and lots of history. We spent 3 nights there and walked lots. We toured Sydney, Sydney Harbour and also the Sydney Opera House. We are now in Cairns where Saturday we went to Great Barrier Reef. Thankfully we might be done with boats but with a good supply of anti nausea pills I have been mostly okay. I'm not sure what is worse the boats or the buses and the windy roads! Don finally got his wish and for supper he had crocodile and kangaroo. Of course the crocodile tasted like chicken. Sunday our tour started with a train trip up to the rain forest at Kuranda. We wandered around the village and did some shopping. Got to hold a koala and a baby crocodile for a picture (which I will post next time) and rode in an army duck through the rainforest. We returned from the rainforest on a cable car.

Today was a free day so we went golfing, did laundry and relaxed. It is really hot and humid. Tomorrow we fly off to Ayers Rock on our next adventure!!

Not much time left on our trip but we are having a great time with great friends!

Take care till next time.

Shelly & Don
