Our hotel in Sydney

October 21 2017-Another travel day—took a rainy, windy ride down to Brisbane Airport, then a flight over to Sydney. Here we separated from our Adventure Caravan group and went to the Marriott Sydney Harbor hotel. We had made our own arrrangements for the Sydney portion of the trip. We used points for a nice room at the Sydney Harbor Marriott, which, as the name implies, is right at the harbor. We were walking distance to great views of the Sudney harbor bridge, and we could easily walk to the Sydney Opera House.

In fact, we learned that a play was showing at the Sydney Opera house that night. “Two Weddings, One Bride.” This was an operatta—a story that used a mixture of popular opera tunes. It was a cute story set in Italian dominated North Africa during World War II. It was showing in one of the smaller venues at the opera house. We enjoyed the show and walked back to our hotel for the rest of the evening. One thing was clear—the Opera House was a happening place in Sydney.
