November 8 – Home again – Thanks for Traveling with Us Vicariously

With our new seat covers, we traveled two days from Iowa to Leesburg – a 12-hour day and a 14-hour day – really too long for the old guy who is still recovering. :)

We visited 12 national parks in Washington, Oregon, California and Nevada.

Forest fires and smoke affected negatively the visual quality of the parks and our itinerary but it was a very enjoyable trip.

The road warrior god was with us as we had no check engine lights or 3-bongs during the whole trip on the Sprinter.

My favorites were Crater Lake and Yosemite due to the uniqueness. Kathleen’s were Yellowstone and Yosemite.

Someday, we will visit the Columbia River Gorge to enjoy the dozen waterfalls that we missed due to the fires.

Total Trip Miles: 10,450; Added 1.2 gallons of DEF
