Bill and Mary Ann's truck camper retirement travel blog

We continued our drive across Nevada on I80 and are enjoying the new scenery. We stopped at the California Trail Interpretive Center to learn about the pioneers who crossed this section of Nevada between the 1830-60s. This was also known as the Immigrant trail. The information and displays were very interesting since we were traveling the same route along the Humboldt river. We found the Angel creek campground high above Wells, Nv. It was at 6700 ft so alot cooler than down on I80. The cg sits below some 9000 ft peaks that still had some snow. Only 3 campers in the church so it was very quiet. Even got treated to a coyote chorus during supper!
