Johns backyard bomb shelter

This morning awoke to both eyes totally swollen. Vanity aside and wearing glasses and no makeup. Not sure why the allergy as took a pill. Breakfast at MIck and Sues then off by foot to Buckingham Palace. Yes, they live that close! Warm day of about 20 so perfect. Crowds gathering as changing of the guard. Apparently it happens every 2nd day. Beside the palace is the memorial for Canadian soldiers, just to the right in the park. Would never have known of that little gem without Mick. One can pay to go inside the palace, but we were limited for time. Grabbed a bus to Victoria Station. Easy to validate British Rail pass we bought on line. Train was about 2 hours but I slept most of the way.

John, Lena and David picked us up and we explored Portsmouth with an eagle eye view from the top. Saw the navy ships and of course the sailing shifts as a busy port. Then viewed the old ruins that protected them from Franchise invasions.

Returned to the. Have a lovely evening out with Indian food
