Today started in Suzdal, continued in Vladimir, and finished in Moscow.
We had a leisurely breakfast in our Kremlin Hotel.
Our driver, Karina, came at 9.30am, and drove us into Vladimir.
We put our bags in the train station luggage room, then went to meet our guide, Olga.
Vladimir - founder of Vladimir - with the Church of the Assumption in the background
Olga gave us a fascinating tour of 2 Cathedrals.
Then a tour of the Military Museum.
Our 1 hour tour took 2 hours.
Da svidanya Olga.
We spent the next 3 hours exploring Vladimir and gradually working our way towards the train station.
We retrieved our luggage, had our tickets stamped, then waited on the station platform for our train to arrive.
The train is a high-speed train, and will only stop for 2 minutes.
In that 2 minutes, everyone needs to have their tickets and passports checked, and to get onto the train. Plus they only open one door on every second carriage. Plus there are a lot of people waiting for the train.
We found our seats on the train - next to 13 and 14.
Then travelled at 150 km per hour, with no further stops, to Moscow.
It was 29 degrees outside for the whole trip.
Lined with massive concrete straight buildings
Just like the movies
The Kremlin WOW
Can’t wait to get out tomorrow and explore
My shoes are ready……..
