time out from a busy day

Wayne was able to connect with some pickleball folks here and discovered a couple of local places to play. He even got in some games outside which felt great and the club was very welcoming and friendly as seems to be the way with pickleballers across Canada.

Betty and Rudi arrived and after lunch we headed downtown to explore. This place is easy to drive in and get around as maritime drivers for the most part are pretty relaxed. We strolled past the beautiful historic buildings and meandered the waterfront stopping for ice cream before heading out to nearby Victoria Park via the boardwalk. It had been a very pleasant afternoon until we discovered the cellphone was not in the truck. A quick retracing of our steps but no phone appeared so not sure if it was dropped while walking or lifted from the truck – either way a lousy way to end our visit. ”It is only money” says Donna trying to console me. What am I hearing correctly? Maybe those meds are stronger than we thought!
