Took a shuttle 60 miles on a gravel road to interior of park. Road was made on top of railroad. Took a tour of old copper mining operation that brought railroad here. Whole operation is right next to a glacier with a river running out of it. This is largest park--13 million acres!! Our shuttle driver was a person who has lived here all her life--shot her first caribou at age 9--a little local color. Onward to Anchorage
