The Bad River

Copper Falls

Brownstone Falls

The Cascades

A Closer View of the Cascades

A Different View of Copper Falls

Today we slept late. After lunch, we traveled down Wisconsin 169 about fifteen miles to Copper Falls State Park. There is a 1.7 mile hike around the falls with views of three different falls: Copper Falls, Blackstone Falls and the Cascades. It is not a bad walk though there are 85 steps up and 85 down along the way.

The falls are very pretty and as there has been a lot of rain in the area, they were flowing heavily. Copper falls gets its name from the color of the water caused by the tannin.

After touring the falls, we returned to the RV for a little relaxation, dinner and preparing to leave tomorrow for Bemidji, Minnesota.
