|Monday saw Ron and I paying another visit to Kotor in Montanegro, perhaps the most idilic port and general location of our whole journey on our ship so far. This time we sailed by little boat to a small island in the bay with a tiny historic church called Our Lady of the Rock. Afterwards we paid a visit to a village on the coast of the bay before heading back to Kotor and our tender back to the ship.
Monday was an "at sea" day and nice and relaxing with room service at 9 am followed by brunch around 10 ish. Then lunch in Club Class dining and coffee and cake in the piazza at 4 pm with a string quartet playing in the background. Drinkies began around 6.30ish before moving in to Club 6 at 7.30 for drinks with the GLBT group. A seafood dinner in Club Class followed about 9 pm. Ron then went on to the 10.15 show - tribute to Freddie Mercury and Queen. Such a hard life this cruising business!
On Wednesday, after room service and a late breakfast we were tendered ashore in Khios for a tour on the island visiting an 11th century monastery and the town of Avgonima. The order of the ports of call has changed this week due to the captain trying to avoid ports when they are too busy. Fortunately nothing to do with the earthquake in the region a couple of days ago.
Today, Thursday, we docked in Rhodes and have been spending our time just wandering the old walled city exploring everything the town has to offer. Tomorrow it's Mykonos for a return visit and a tour then back to Athens on Saturday where most of the passengers disembark and we pick up a whole new batch for the last week of our cruise.
