Our restaurant for the cooking class

After a slower start this morning we took the hotel shuttle back into Fia. I was looking forward to the cooking class that Toni had booked us into this afternoon.

After finding a cafe and having a delicious breakfast of crepes and coffee we were fueled up, and ready to hit the streets. This morning we were going to find the cable car and ride it down to the old port.

Once located the ride only took a few minutes. It did give us again some picturesque views as we traveled down.

We spent about an hour wandering around the few shops at the port and then took the car back up to the main city again.

Once there we found a reasonably priced bar where we tried the local donkey labeled beer and relaxed until our cooking class.

This class was fun, our chef Mikhaela was lovely. We cooked some very traditional, easy recipes and due to the fresh and very favoursome vegetables, they tasted delicious.

The mussels and the pork tenderloin were to die for!!

To finish us off completely we were treated with creme brulee and a chocolate hell dessert which was like a lava dessert, not too rich and served with caramel sauce and ice cream. A lovely drop of local wine to wash it down and we were fit to burst.

After that, all we could do was roll back to the hotel and relax for the rest of the evening. A lovely experience.
