Today was our final full day in Calgary, Canada, and we were given the opportunity to explore the city a little before we return home. Some of my peers and I took the opportunity to visit parts of the city that we had not been able to go to before. We went to a diner that was about a 30 minute walk from the hotel for lunch, and we found ourselves in a part of town that looked very similar to a college town. There were quite a few apartment complexes, dog parks, and restaurants for the students to enjoy. We also went into a candy store in which the owners hand made all of their chocolate and a record store that had many modern and older albums. Experiencing the city with my peers was very enjoyable, and it was an opportunity that I am very glad I had.

In addition to exploring the city, we also had a group dinner at a restaurant called The Keg. The dinner was also a good time, and the food was outstanding. I believe that having this day for everyone to hang out was a great idea from the Mississippi State staff that planned our trip because it gave us all one last chance to enjoy Calgary together in a less professional situation than we had become accustomed to over the duration of the trip. All in all, today was a great day, and it is one that I will remember for a very long time.
