We now had to make our way back to the boat yard by 9 am Tuesday morning. So I am now 'The Lady of the Lock'!

I was the boat steerer going down the locks while Tony did the manual labour. It was an interesting experience.

The bird life on the canal was prolific and there were so many youngsters it was just beautiful - a great time of the year to be here.

There were also squirrels in the trees and everything is just coming into bud.

We stopped at Skipton for lunch and went to the Cock & Bottle Pub for a 5 Pound meal.

Tony had Pork Pie and I had Scampie. Very nice too with an apple cider to wash it down

Monday morning is washing day
