Isaac's Calgary Journal travel blog

Today we began to interact with the local school administration. The activities we participated in were very enlightening in learning the ways of Alberta's education. I noticed the word "sorry" being pronounced quite differently many times today, with the "o" sound being opposite the American prounounciation.

Ms. Donna's presentation on indigenous peoples in Canada brought on some deeply buried emotions for me personally, and got me thinking about Native American culture in a more broad sense. Even in our modern, "progressive" atmosphere, these tribes of people have been abused and ignored. Truly an emotionally resonant case.
