We left the campground about 10:30 with a prospect of very high winds on the road. Tom was nervous about that since the trailer is such a high profile. But he did fine and it only took us an hour longer than we would normally take. When we stopped for gas in Los Lunas the wind was a force on me – it was very gusty and got worse as we got back in to finish the last 80 miles of our 37 day trip. Rio knew as soon as we turned off Rodeo Road and started his plea to be in his space. He is such a great traveler.
We do not know what the next trip will be but in August 2017 we will set off to Ithaca, NY for the leaves in October (and Marty and Kim’s place – sister #1). We will take our time getting there and see as much as we can on the way in Ohio, Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Maine in our limited time (8-10 weeks). Tim wants to go on a trip with us to one of our local haunts in the spring and that will be fun.
Signing out for this year.
