Early start to catch the bus into the city before catching the tram down to Glenelg for the morning. It was a trip down memory lane for Mum and Dad as they came here on their honeymoon - the trams are now new and modern and there has been plenty of development at Glenelg as well. We had a look around and decided to have fish and chips for lunch - except it was too windy and cold to eat them on the beach. We ate them inside instead.
Back on the tram into town before catching a bus to the Adelaide Oval for a tour. Mum decided to stay in the city and shop. The tour of the oval was excellent - Bradman Collection, a movie of the remodelling of the oval, visits to the Aussie Rules halls and out on the new grandstands. What views you get! The highlight was the trip inside the old score board to see how they do it - old but impressive. We finished the tour in the player's rooms. Well worth the money.
Walked back to the railway station across the Torren's River to catch the tram back into the city to meet up with Mum. Bus back to the caravan park before an hour on the tennis court in the evening. Terrific day.
