the display garden - "music" theme

the view we can't get high enough to photograph

Saturday 1st October - at Toowoomba

Headed out - first stop, Info Centre to pick up a map and talk about where to look at gardens. While in the centre we met up with long time friends Christine and Bruce, who were in town for a choir function, before heading south to their daughter’s home in Central NSW. Jan also spoke to a Playgroup grandma from MPC. Small world, we can’t escape. Off to Queens Park to look at the stunning display of flowers before heading back to the van for some lunch via Aldi’s who sell the best melting moments (fat free of course - all the calories fall out when you drop the crumbs while eating). Off for another drive to look at more public parks. Really, the only other good one was the Laurel Banks Park, which had a music theme. Excellently done.

We’ve decided to go to the late afternoon movie session to see “Sully”. Great movie about the passenger jet landing on the Hudson River in New York back in 2005. Tonight is our last night with Ron n Hazel so we headed off to the Golf Course for dinner. Nice and simple - fish chips and salad, but it gave the girls a night off. Back to the van for showers and a coffee with Cornettos. We know how to splurge.
